Liverpool Disaster

This season has been one of the most unpredictable one's. For some it was the same as always but for some it has been disasterious and Liverpool falls in the later category. Liverpool rests at the 7th place after playing 15 matches this season. Liverpool haven't been is such a situation over 8 years and some say that the coach Benitez has lost it's touch and it is time to let him go but i don't think that firing him will solve the problem. What can the coach do when the players are surrounded by injuries and substitutes lack the quality to get the club through the game.
Some say the sale of Xabi Alonso has caused the red machine all this. But I don’t buy that.
While yes it’s obvious Liverpool will miss Alonso but he wouldn’t have stopped the 11 goals conceded from set pieces so far this season. The reason why we are doing so badly is that we have no quality in depth when we talk about our squad.

The first 11 is a good team and with the inclusion of Aquilani but the some of them have been facing injuries which resulted in playing substitutes from where the sloppy play began. While the other teams wwhich are above liverpool on the epl standing have players whose names might not set the world alight but they can do a job. Get them through the games that they are needed for. Liverpool Football Club don’t have that.

Some critics have also been found stating that title race for the Liverpool has ended whereas Benitez is confident that Liverpool will be able to bounce back into the top four by the end of season but with the teams like Manchester City, Aston Villa & Tottenham it can be considered as difficult. If Benitez would be proven wrong UEFA Champions League spot would be lost for a year for Liverpool.

1 comment:

  1. title race for liverpool is over for sure, as the way man city & tottenham are playing only a miracle can save the UEFA spot next season
